Characteristics
Megasonex attachment for effective tongue cleaning
Tongue cleaning is an important part of daily oral care. Bacteria that can cause bad breath collect on the tongue and should therefore be removed regularly. The ultrasound penetrates the papillae (tongue openings) and eliminates the bacteria there. In contrast to "normal" tongue cleaners, the ultrasound also penetrates deep into the tongue and therefore cleans even deeper and more thoroughly.
ultrasonic toothbrush
The Megasonex M8 and M8S combines sonic technology with ultrasonic technology : thanks to an integrated switch-off function, the mechanical bristle movements of the Megasonex M8 and M8S ultrasonic toothbrush can be completely switched off and can be used with the ultrasound like a manual toothbrush
This means that cleaning is carried out exclusively with ultrasound (96 million pulses/minute), which is generated directly under the brush head. By switching on the mechanical bristle movements, the Megasonex M8 and M8S toothbrushes brush with vibrations in addition to the ultrasound, with either 9,000 or 18,000 movements per minute.
Application
Place the tongue cleaner onto the MEGASONEX handle and tighten it.
Choose your optimal speed as you would for your toothbrush.
Place the tongue cleaner on the left or right side of the tongue about ¾ of the way down the throat and gently but firmly move the cleaner in a scraping motion towards the tip of the tongue. This should take between 1-2 seconds. Repeat a few times, rinsing the cleaner off between each scrape.
Repeat the same on the other half of the tongue.
Clean the center of the tongue by placing the cleaner at a 45 degree angle.
Finally, if you wish, you can turn the tongue cleaner 90 degrees to clean a larger area.
Gently repeat the movement on each side of the tongue.
Clean and dry the cleaner after each use. Normal soap and water are sufficient as long as the cleaner is dried thoroughly.
Dispose of the tongue cleaner after several months or when the leading edge appears blunt.
Pressing harder on the tongue does not remove the biofilm any better. Too much pressure could also cause damage, this applies to any tongue cleaner. It is much better to clean the tongue more often and avoid excessive pressure.
